Principal Accountabilities:Machine Learning Tools and Processes: Develop machine learning-based tools and processes, such as recommendation engines and lead scoring systems, to improve customer experiences and product offerings.Feature Selection and Classifier Optimization: Use machine learning tools to select features, create, and optimize classifiers, ensuring that models are efficient and effective.Data Analysis and Interpretation: Discover valuable insights from large databases, helping the organization make smarter, data-driven decisions that enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes.Data Collection and Preprocessing: Undertake data collection, preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to prepare datasets for modeling and analysis.Model Building: Build predictive models to address specific business problems, presenting findings through data visualization techniques to make insights accessible to stakeholders.Automation and Data Source Management: Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes to improve efficiency and data quality.Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product planning teams to integrate data-driven insights into business strategies.Data Preparation and Compliance: Prepare data from multiple sources while ensuring compliance with data security norms, making sense of complex data sets to derive actionable insights.Business Understanding: Deeply understand the business problems you are tasked with solving, ensuring that your models and analyses are aligned with business needs.Communication: Effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders, translating data findings into clear, actionable business strategies.Domain Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of the business domain, particularly in the auto industry and sales and marketing operations, alongside expertise in technology, mathematics, and statistics.Innovation and Storytelling: Look at big data with an innovative mindset, solving business problems by creating compelling stories from data analysis and gaining buy-in for novel ideas that drive effective decision-making.Skills and Knowledge:Educational Qualifications: Graduate or Postgraduate degree with a strong understanding of data science principles. Proficiency in SQL, HIVE, Python, R, or SAS (knowledge of at least two of these is required).Work Experience: 2-5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on applying machine learning to real-world business problems.Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in machine learning, statistical analysis, data preprocessing, and data visualization. Ability to handle large datasets and extract meaningful insights.Business Acumen: Understanding of the auto industry and sales and marketing operations, with the ability to translate technical insights into business strategies.Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
